Wakeforce Terms of Use

App: Wakeforce (the "App")

Provider: Tobias Thurston ("we," "us," or "our")

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Tobias Thurston governing your use of the Wakeforce iOS application and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. What Wakeforce is

Wakeforce is an alarm clock app designed to make it harder to oversleep. To silence an alarm, you may be required to complete a wake-up "mission," which can include:

• Push-Up Proof: doing push-ups while the front camera counts your repetitions.
• Photo Hunt: taking a photo of an everyday object.
• Voice Roast: reading a phrase aloud so the microphone and speech recognition can confirm you said it.

Wakeforce also offers a strict or "No-Escape" wake mode that intentionally makes alarms harder to dismiss or snooze. You choose whether to enable these features.

2. Important alarm-reliability disclaimer (please read)

Wakeforce is a convenience tool, not a guaranteed or fail-safe wake-up system. Do not rely on it as your only means of waking for anything where missing the time could harm you or others.

An alarm may fail to sound, sound late, sound quietly, or be dismissed without your full awareness for reasons outside our control, including but not limited to:

• the device being powered off, in Airplane Mode, out of battery, restarting, or set to silent or a low volume;
• iOS Focus modes, Do Not Disturb, notification settings, or background-app limits;
• permissions for notifications, alarms, camera, or microphone being denied or revoked;
• operating-system changes, software bugs, hardware faults, or low storage;
• headphones, external speakers, or other audio routing.
